New Kanye West: Hear Snippets Of Two Seemingly Finished Tracks, Care Of Hudson Mohawke

While Kanye West was playing dress-up and performing new song “I Am a God” at the Met Gala last night (May 7), his production protege Hudson Mohawke was giving the masses a dose of new Yeezy, too. At an event the same night, the Scottish DJ-producer rolled out two apparently finished West tracks. And, no surprise here, they sound ridiculously dope. Head below to hear the snippets.

This first one is some future-squelch electro-rap shit, like “Stronger” filtered through Tron, and then Kanye’s verse drops out for a melting cascade of bleeps and bloops. (This is the same beat heard in one of the Vines from Kanye’s set Monday night.)

In the second clip, it sounds like West is rapping about the Hamptons. This cut is trappier, but it pairs the thunderous bass with Yeezy’s one-time trademark of pitched-up vocal samples.
