Kelly Rowland & Madcon’s “One Life” Video: Watch The Diva Go Glam
Did you know? 2013 is the year of Kelly Rowland. The year that all other divas are rendered irrelevant. The year she finally seizes the throne that has been rightfully hers all along.
Yes, the fine arbiter of X Factor talent and nether-kissing enthusiast has just continued to diversify her output with a guest appearance on the new single from Norwegian hip-hop duo Madcon, and in the video for the track — well, not much happens, actually. Aside from Kelly looking great, which she does. Almost good enough to distract from how aggressively pedestrian the song is in its DNA. (Not entirely, though.)
The inspirational bent of the lyrics should prove crowd-pleasing, and the video leans heavy on glam shots of the “Dirty Laundry” songstress getting chic, even if the other footage (of Madcon members Tshawe Baqwa and Yosef Wolde-Mariam, according to Wikipedia) is kind of goofy — so really, who am I to complain?
