Kelly Rowland pulled no punches in her soul-baring ballad “Dirty Laundry,” and the first thing listeners probably wondered was, who is the pig who laid his hands on Kelly. Then everyone instinctively speculated about Beyonce’s reaction to the song. Well, now we know, thanks to Rowland herself. She told Washington’s 93.9 WKYS that she played the song to her former Destiny’s Child group-mates Bey and Michelle Williams before releasing the song.

“[Beyonce] was just like ‘I never left.’ Which was so sweet,” the X Factor judge revealed. “It was endearing. She heard how real I was and she was just like ‘I’m so proud of you.'” We presume that the meet-up concluded with King B touching K-Row on the shoulder and officially granting her permission to release the song unto the masses.
