Justin Timberlake & Pharrell Hit Studio Together, Hopefully To Rock Your Body On Part 2 Of ’20/20′

Justin Timberlake was in the studio with Pharrell! The superproducer posted photographic evidence that the pop dream team of the early aughts was back together, along with the message “Me and my boy Justin.” We know JT has been recording new material for volume two of The 20/20 Experience (out September 30), but we have no idea if this means Pharrell is somehow involved in that sequel, or if they were even working together at all when this pic was snapped. But we can dream, can’t we?

Pharrell Williams played an integral role in JT’s solo debut, Justified, as part of production duo The Neptunes. But Williams didn’t work on FutureSex/LoveSounds or The 20/20 Experience — neither as part of The Neptunes with Chad Hugo nor on his own. Timbaland was a primary producer behind The 20/20 Experience, and he’s also involved with the second volume. For his part, Pharrell could very well be contributing some production to a track or two — especially now that both he and Timberlake have pretty much moved on from the stuttery, mecha-futuristic beats that they both used, along with Timbaland, to define the pop landscape in the late ’90s/early ’00s.
