Nikki Williams Remixes Fall Out Boy’s “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” & It’s Awesome

Nikki Williams first snagged my attention with her debut single, the cinematic power ballad “Kill, Fuck, Marry” before dropping the monster house hit “Glowing,” but her latest release sits nicely somewhere in between: The South Africa-born chanteuse has released a remix (i.e., a cover) of Fall Out Boy‘s “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up),” and, well, it practically glows in the dark. (That was a bad reference to both of their songs. Is that a thing? Sure, let’s make that a thing.)

Williams’ huge vocals on the storming track make it sound like a lost ’80s arena rock duet — can’t you just see her riffing on a darkened stage with Patrick Stump, all pyrotechnics and swagger? If you feel so inclined, feel free to make this the official radio version going forward.
