Kanye West Performs “New Slaves” A Cappella In Switzerland: Watch The Furious Take

We’re a mere five days from the release of Kanye West‘s Yeezus, and West has yet to release a single, music video or even a confirmed tracklist. However, he has continued to do a handful of performances/appearances. The latest, spotted by Stereogum, was a Yeezus listening session in Switzerland, which included a live a cappella version of the album’s might-as-well-call-it-lead-single “New Slaves.”

Yeezy started off calm and let his rage gradually build, until it finally boiled over on the “Hamptons house” stanza for a flurry of rabid rhymes. Check it out up top, then head below to watch the teaser clip West posted on his site of the “I Am A God” recording session with Rick Rubin. (The sheer anticipation and cultivated secrecy of this Yeezus rollout sure makes the Random Access Memories and The 20/20 Experience experiences look like they were cobbled together at the last minute, doesn’t it?)
