Charli XCX Gets Ambient On “Illusions Of”: Listen To The Trippy Track
There’s no rest for the wicked or Charli XCX, it seems. Yet another track featuring the British pop starlet has surfaced online and it’s, quite possibly, her quirkiest offering yet. The 20-year-old has teamed up with the delightfully-named J£ZUS MILLION for a slice of ambient electronica called “Illusions Of”.
It’s an odd listening experience best reserved for the after-after-party (ie. when you’re back at home) but the track does have a certain charm. “Rhinestone roses for a rhinestone cowgirl, I wanna be the center of your whole world,” is a lovely refrain and the assorted bleeps and beeps are almost soothing. “Illusions Of” will feature on a Double Denim Records compilation due in September.
