Mariah Carey & Miguel Make A Getaway In New “Hermosa” Video: Watch
Mariah Carey abandons the chandelier-filled barn in her new video for “Hermosa,” the Spanglish version of “#Beautiful.” Instead, she and Miguel escape to paradise abroad. They cruise through quaint streets, carefully board a speedboat — stilettos, man — and lounge on a rowboat navigating through a cave. It’s as if Carey was inspired by her own fabulous life, as previously shown on Instagram.
While Avril Lavigne‘s “Here’s to Never Growing Up” barely edged out “#Beautiful” for the title of Song of the Summer 2013, Carey seems dead set on ensuring that her listeners can enjoy her new single by any means necessary. She’s gone bilingual, performed the song live and released remixes with anyone who dares to reckon with her #Beautiful self, the least she can do as she delays the release of her new album The Art of Letting Go.
