Beyonce’s “Start Over” Gets A Dance Overhaul: Listen To An Exclusive Snippet Of The WAWA Remix

Beyonce hasn’t exactly been forthcoming with new tunes this year. Sure, we got the sublime “Part II (On The Run)” a couple of days ago but it’s not exactly the wig-whipping club-banger needed to alleviate The Hive‘s ongoing state of beyhydration. Happily, I have something that might help.

One of more interesting side-projects of the 4 era was a scrapped remix album. The sexy patriot approached a number of DJs to reinvent tracks including Polish house masters WAWA. They remixed three songs — “End Of Time”, “I Was Here” and “Start Over”. The first two got official releases, an exclusive snippet of the latter can be heard after the jump.

“Start Over” was perhaps the most polarizing song on 4. I thought it was the album’s only not-completely-brilliant moment but many fans rallied for it to be a single. While the Shea Taylor-produced slow jam remains an acquired taste, the WAWA boys did a great job transforming it into a dark and dangerous house anthem that stands toe-to-toe with Bey’s best floorfillers.

Let us know what you think of King B’s unreleased dance anthem in the comments.
