The Wanted’s “We Own The Night”: Hear A Snippet Of The New Track
Well, that was fast! Justin Timberlake tried to “Take Back The Night,” but The Wanted are already challenging him, becoming the latest in a long, looong line of music acts staking a claim on the night. The British boy band released 60 seconds of their new track “We Own The Night” on the season finale of their E! reality show The Wanted Life, and no, it is not a Tiesto cover.
Based on the teaser, the guys just want to party like Rihanna and find a girl who walks like her. Simple pleasures. Also, the party anthem seems to be chock full of night-night rhymes. Peep the chorus: “May our hearts be full / Like our drinks tonight / May we sing and dance ’til we lose our minds / We are only young if we seize the night / Tonight we own the night.” You may expect to hear a banger with such festive subject matter, but the song is a bit more refined than that.
