TLC’s Lady Gaga-Penned “Posh Life”: Hear Gaga’s Demo Version
TLC announced on Thursday (July 25) that they’d be releasing a greatest hits LP featuring a new song co-written by Lady Gaga called “Posh Life.” Today, Gaga’s demo of the track hit the Web — and while it’s not enough to quench our ARTPOP thirst, nor is it the same as hearing a new TLC tune, it’s still an interesting listen.
“Posh Life,” in this iteration at least, features Gaga’s piano pop framework bolstered by TLC-ready R&B flourishes (recognize those “Waterfalls”-like wah-wahs?). Gaga sings much of the track in a lower register, more in line with T-Boz‘s range, and the all-inclusive, self-empowering lyrics should be an easy fit for the “Unpretty” singers.
