Icona Pop Take A Ride In This Life Of Sin In Their “Girlfriend” Video: Watch

It seemed like Icona Pop had ditched “Girlfriend” as their next single and were instead focusing their energies on the definitely-superior “All Night,” but lo and behold, here’s a video for “Girlfriend” — so at this point, your guess is as good as mine. (They probably shot the video when they were banking on “Girlfriend” and decided to release it anyway even though they switched directions, or maybe they’ve just made so many huge Sweden-sized piles of money from “I Love It” that they can shoot as many videos as they want.)

Anyway, it’s a beautifully shot clip, lots of dusty Steinbeckian landscape as the girls hit the road in a Mini Cooper convertible (trust that it’s definitely a Mini Cooper convertible) to enjoy some views and run down abandoned train tracks wearing Rick Owens or whatever. It looks like it was shot on Valencia, in the best way.

Then there’s also some weird blue-black glammed-out footage of the girls having their own sort of disco somewhere not in the desert, intercut with weird psychedelic Illuminati triangles. I don’t know.

Just watch it up top.
