Pop history was made over the weekend as reigning queens Britney Spears and Katy Perry met (was it for the first time?) at the Smurfs 2 movie premiere in Los Angeles. While on the blue carpet, Perry revealed to E! News that she actually sung background vocals for Spears’ soundtrack song “Ooh La La,” which was written by in-demand pop scribe (and rising star in her own right) Bonnie McKee.

“Me and Bonnie secretly did some background vocals on that song,” Perry said. “So maybe listen for our voices.” Here’s hoping the two pop stars will collaborate on a duet in the future — and, well, hopefully become BFFs.
