Sirah’s “Inhale”: Idolator Premiere

Sirah may look like a pint-sized doll, but the Los Angeles-based rapper spits serious bars — as seen with her new single “Inhale.” The song’s cheeky lyrics (“Got my eyes locked, and I am so fun/Wanna grab his neck, show him what he’s missing” and “He loves me, he loves me not/Boys on my jock yet I chose you”) combined with Sirah’s raspy, badass vocals make for a summery rap-meets-pop tune.

The singer (who shares a Grammy with dubstep artist Skrillex for their collaboration, “Bangarang”) says the song is “based off the need to take in the moment. I feel like life goes so fast, our experiences become blurred and so it’s about breathing in the moment, taking it all in, allowing yourself to get lost, to live in the present.”

Sirah will be joining Swedish sensation Icona Pop and K-Flay on tour this fall, and her new Inhale EP is slated for an August 13 release. Listen to our exclusive premiere of “Inhale” below.
