Sky Ferreira Covers ‘i-D,’ Talks Growing Up With Michael Jackson

Just off the heels of Selena Gomez‘s butched-out appearance on the cover of the magazine, fellow starlet Sky Ferreira has taken to the pages of i-D to look chic (as she always does) and even give a little interview (although it’s not particularly revealing, especially on the subject of new music, which is all any of us really care about at this point).

And yet! She does reveal a morsel about her childhood relationship with Michael Jackson, explaining: “I used to spend my birthdays at Michael Jackson’s house. It was a regular nice house; it wasn’t like he was riding rollercoasters, eating cotton candy by himself, you know.”

Also, there’s this quote:

[S]he becomes lively when she politely asks if she can put a playlist on. Her tracks clip from Wild Nothing and Ariel Pink to Charlotte and Serge Gainsbourg’s Lemon Incest. Hazy, cerebral pop drifts from the iPod dock. It provides a sharp insight into her muses, which it becomes clear steer way outside the standard pop music palette.

Just in case you wanted to be clear: Sky Ferreira still has better taste than you do.
