Jennifer Hudson Stars In ‘Winnie Mandela’: Watch The Trailer
Jennifer Hudson is continuing to strengthen her acting oeuvre, and her latest project tells an important and historical story. Titled Winne Mandela, the T.D. Jakes-directed biopic will show Hudson playing the ex-wife of South African revolutionary Nelson Mandela.
The movie depicts the life of Winnie, a political activist herself, as she campaigns for Mandela’s release from prison. Terrence Howard plays Nelson Mandela in the film, which hits theaters on September 6. Watch the trailer up top.
Apart from filming, Hudson has been in the studio working on her third album alongside producers like Pharrell, RedOne and Salaam Remi.
