Carly Rae Jepsen Covers “Part Of Your World” From ‘The Little Mermaid’: Listen
It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from glorious Canadian songbird Carly Rae Jepsen. She has been hard at work on her edgy follow-up to Kiss but somehow found the time to belt out a cover of “Part Of Your World” from Disney’s classic animated film The Little Mermaid. Her version hit iTunes this week and it’s cute as a button. Like her.
While Carly Rae’s voice is perhaps better suited to uptempo dance-pop numbers, it’s nice to hear her try something different. The “Call Me Maybe” diva hits all the right notes, capturing Ariel’s sense of longing in her hopeful vocal. Listen to Jepsen’s version, and revisit your childhood, after the jump.
