Jay Z & Justin Timberlake Brood In “Holy Grail”: Watch The Jittery Video

Jay Z and Justin Timberlake‘s “Holy Grail” addresses the pitfalls of fame and wealth, but the video bolsters those themes and results in something much gloomier. The clip premiered today on Facebook (oh, that’s something we haven’t seen!), and for most of the clip, Jay is alone in a dank, dusty mansion, light peeking in through bullet holes, while JT sings among spectral dancers and a burning car.

But the real selling point is how the song has been sliced and diced for Anthony Mandler‘s trippy visual. Timberlake’s introductory verse is sandwiched in the middle now, and jittery flourishes like abrupt audio cuts and screwed-down beats intensify the sense of unease. Check it out up top.
