A$AP Rocky Allegedly Slapped Female Fan At Made In America, Charged With Assault

A$AP Rocky has been charged with misdemeanor simple assault after allegedly slapping a female fan at Philadelphia’s Made In America Festival over the weekend, TMZ reports. As the Harlem rapper made his way through the crowd during his Saturday set (August 31), several fans were pulling on his shirt, and the woman claims Rocky “turned and fired off an open-hand slap, connecting with her face.” She also alleges that she suffered whiplash from the incident.

If true, this is obviously deplorable. And it’s made even more troubling when you remember that this is the second time this summer Rocky has allegedly slapped a female concertgoer. During a June performance in Australia, a similar scenario played out: Rocky weaved through the crowd, women grabbing at him, when one female fan tapped him on the head and blew him a kiss, and he responded by slapping her in the face (check out the footage here).

In addition to that damning incident, Rocky faced assault charges (which were later dropped) for scuffling with two photographers in New York City in June 2012, and in March of that year the A$AP Mob brawled with fans at SXSW during Rocky’s set in Austin.
