50 Cent & Skylar Grey’s “Warning You” Hits The Web: Listen

Does anyone know what 50 Cent is up to these days? Wasn’t he supposed to be working on an album? And if not, then what was that Kendrick Lamar joint for, or “Financial Freedom”? Well, the Beyonce-like randomness of his pre-pre-album campaign continues, as an unfinished version of his Skylar Grey collaboration popped up online. “Warning You,” which apparently was recorded a year ago, features a grinding, mid-tempo beat, with 50 reminding everyone he’s still hungry and warning folks not to turn on him.

After the song hit the Web, Fiddy responded on Twitter to clear up the credits (that’s Alex Da Kid on production) and he pointed out this version is unmixed. Regardless of that last tidbit, it’s a strong track. Along with “We Up,” Fif seems to be building a solid catalog of new material. Who knows when we’ll see the album attached to it all, though.
