This week was a fun one in the music world, with our favorite popstresses releasing anticipated albums and music videos left and right! Katy Perry got down and dirty in the jungle for her mini-movie “Roar.” The singer also unveiled her flower-power cover art for forthcoming album, Prism. Ariana Grande and Natalia Kills both had great weeks, with each releasing their new albums – Grande’s debut Yours Truly and Kills’ sophomore record Trouble. Grande also released the summery, ’90s-throwback music video for “Baby I.” Lady Gaga also dominated the iTunes Music Festival with an epic performance, as she premiered a multitude of new songs off ARTPOP.

One Direction announced their forthcoming third album today, seductively titled Midnight Memories –  which will be out on November 25, while Miley Cyrus will premiere her “Wrecking Ball” video this Monday (September 9). Musical brothers Jay Z and Kanye West both announced solo tours literally within minutes of each other, with ‘Ye hitting the road with Kendrick Lamar and Hova rocking the stage on his own, and Avril Lavigne revealed the tracklist for her self-titled album. Lastly, Britney Spears aka The Holy Spearit, will be making a special announcement on Good Morning America on September 17. Be sure to tune in to see the big reveal!

Check out some of this week’s best comments below!

:: When we asked what Adele was thinking after she attended Lady Gaga’s set at the iTunes Festival this past weekend, it was Matias M. that had us LOL-ing: “Bitch blew my eyebrows off!”

:: Adriana/Emeli Fan was all about the UK on Emeli Sande’s “My Kind Of Love” Gets A Controversial New Video For The US: Watch: “Also want to add that Emeli puts most American performers big in the US at the moment to shame. Why is it that I always have to cross the sea to Europe to find good music? Real music, real passion, real soul, Emeli. Take a hint Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Pink, etc etc etc.”

:: On Demi Lovato Is Over Twerking & Wants It To DisappearJay got a little shady: “I wish her her music career would just disappear”

:: Nayeli Gomez notices some chemistry on Ariana Grande & Nathan Sykes Slay “Almost Is Never Enough” On ‘Live With Kelly & Michael’: Watch: “Doesn’t anybody notice that in every live performance nathan and ariana somehow get closer and closer. i really hope they start dating:)”

:: Katy Perry‘s “Roar” video was pretty kitschy, but Yoani Veg was not feeling it on Katy Perry’s “Roar” Music Video: Watch: “the worst video i have ever seen . Sorry Katy :(”

:: DylanB had some choice words for us at Idolator on Paris Hilton Reveals “Good Time” Single Release Date, More Pics From Video Set: “For the life of me I can’t understand why you guys seem to be so enamored with Ms. Hilton. In more than one post you’ve talked about her as if she’s a seasoned pop legend, which she is not. She released one album years ago and it flopped, not because of bad promotion, or an uninterested public, but because it was absolute garbage. She never should have delved into music. It became a joke, and it will become a joke again. If she slays it, and has somehow learned to sing, and somehow has something vital to say and express as an artist, I’ll eat my words. But somehow, I see a very different story unfolding. It’s just laughable.”

:: But Will quickly rebutted: “First of all, this article is dripping in sarcasm. It’s this thing that people do where they behave in a manner that is the opposite of how one would expect one to behave, it’s called irony. Secondly, her first album didn’t flop. It actually preformed quite decently for a freshman release. It also received mixed to positive reviews and her first single was a top 10 hit in multiple countries. It wasn’t anything life changing or revolutionary, but it was decent bubble gum pop music. And yes, she is a joke. A highly amusing and entertaining one, and one that I, for one, am interested in laughing at for as long as I’m able.”

:: Perry Power was definitely #TeamKaty on Katy Perry’s “Roar” Finally Ends Robin Thicke’s Hot 100 Reign With “Blurred Lines”: Balance in the force has been restored. *holsters whipped cream boob cannons*
