Miguel’s “Can’t Sleep Together”: Hear The New Adult Swim Single

Miguel has dropped a feisty new song “Can’t Sleep Together” for Adult Swim’s 2013 Singles series. It’s got all the hallmarks that made his breakout Kaleidoscope Dream so appealing: crunchy, staccato guitars and gurgly synths over economical percussion, plus that falsetto sneaking in from the background. Plus, the ranting refrain of “I can’t sleep, you can’t sleep / Let’s can’t sleep together” is just so perfectly simple and clever. So, there’s lots to like in this one-off release.

Since there’s been no word on the Janelle Monae collaborator‘s promised second round of Art Dealer Chic EPs (dude’s had a few other things on his plate recently), this will hold us over just fine.

Hear it below.

Miguel — “Can’t Sleep Together”

The song is part of the 2013 Adult Swim Singles series, which also includes new tracks from Kitty and Autre Ne Veut. Head to the site to grab some free downloads.
