Most artists visit the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge with the intention of putting their own spin on a contemporary hit. Robin Thicke memorably turned Icona Pop‘s “I Love It” into a soulful ballad, while Bastille transformed Miley Cyrus“We Can’t Stop” into a haunting rock anthem. Justin Timberlake takes a different path. He performed an unusually faithful rendition of The Jacksons‘ classic 1978 disco hit “Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)”.

It’s great to see Justin leave his suit and tie at home and just have fun. He turns the studio into a nightclub, line-dancing with his band on stage while rocking a white t-shirt and black hat. As usual, his vocal is on point and the 32-year-old’s stagecraft can not be denied. JT had the entire crowd on their feet! Slip into your disco finery and watch up top.

Should JT add this cover to his concert repertoire? Let us know in the comments below.
