Mary J. Blige delighted fans at Coachella when she joined Disclosure to perform her version of “F for You,” off the UK duo’s 2013 debut Settle. Blige was hardly the only guest during the set, as young critical darlings Alunageorge and Sam Smith popped up as well — but she inspired the loudest cheers of all, while belting her verses and jumping in stilettos (!) to keep the crowd hyped.

Blige approached Disclosure after the May release of Settle, a set that already sounded like a long-lost album from Tommy Boy‘s ’90s dance music roster. (Blige’s cameo only adds to that comparison.) “We said, ‘Sure, whatever you want,'” Disclosure’s Howard Lawrence said to Billboard. “She wanted to sing a new verse, so she sent us hundreds of vocals she thought might work. We sifted through them and had a great time.”
