Sure, we’ve all seen (and heard!) the reign of boy bands like The Wanted, Big Time Rush and One Direction on the radio for the past few years. But it’s time to move over boys, ’cause the girls are getting ready to take over.
Right now, there’s two promising girl groups currently leading the pack — both hailing from X Factor! — that are preparing to dominate in 2013: Fifth Harmony and Little Mix. They’ve both got loads of talent, but only one will ultimately take the crown(s).
So, here’s the question: Which girl group will reign in 2013? More »
Biggest Fan” is a monthly giveaway that asks fans to flaunt their creativity by showing off their personal shrines — from homemade drawings and posters to merchandise and magazines — for a chance to win prizes from some of our favorite pop stars.
Back in April, we asked Demi Lovato‘s most diehard Lovatics to show off their loot for a chance to win a trip to meet Demi. In May, we got the Selenators to duke it out for a chance to win some signed Selena Gomez love. And now, it’s time for the Rushers to take to the task!
Today, the fantastic foursome known only as Big Time Rush premiered their third studio album 24/Seven, including brand new tracks like “Like Nobody’s Around” and “Song For You (feat. Karmin).” And to celebrate the release, we’re giving away one big time Big Time Rush prize package to the biggest Rushers out there. More »
The boys — err, men — of 98 Degrees have had a pretty busy 2013: After dropping their comeback track “Microphone”, their brand new album 2.0 (the first in a decade!) and promotional performances on late night TV, they’ve been traveling across the country on The Package Tour alongside their fellow boybanders Boyz II Men and New Kids On The Block.
The tour’s already in full swing, and we want to send a lucky reader to a show — and meet the boys in person.
That’s right! We’re giving away one pair of 98 Degrees tickets and a meet and greet VIP experience to The Package Tour date of your choice. Want to win? Of course you do. More »

:: After news broke that William Orbit and Naughty Boy are working on Britney Spears‘ eighth album, Dev Hynes (Solange, Sky Ferreira) has also apparently been cast as a producer! A Twitter exchange with Orbit and Hynes culminating with “@WilliamOrbit @friendsamandude no more slaves 4 us….” indicates Dev is up to something Britney-related. [Pop Justice]
:: Miley Cyrus‘ new single “We Can’t Stop” is all about having a good time. But not a chemically-induced good time. A rep for producer Mike WiLL Made It says she sings, “Dancing with Miley,” not molly. Uh huh. [TMZ]
:: The Wanted‘s Siva Kaneswaran has signed a modeling contract with London’s Next Model Management. The agency also represents Rita Ora, Lana Del Rey and Iggy Azalea. [Billboard]
:: There’s now a Kanye West RPG video game. Kanye Quest 3030 finds the rapper in the future fighting clones of 2Pac, Snoop Lion and more. What about mecha-paparazzi? [Consequence of Sound]
:: Singer and former Glee co-star Charice has come out as gay. “Yes I’m a lesbian,” she said. “I don’t see a problem with that, because for me there isn’t a problem. Now, I would like to ask for forgiveness from the people that don’t understand.” [Huffington Post]

Maybe you already know 17-year-old LA-based singer-songwriter Jackson Guthy from one of his performances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Maybe you’ve seen him out on tour opening for Big Time Rush and One Direction. Or, maybe you’ve jamming to one of his new cuts this year, like “Bad Boy” and “Brothers & Sisters.” Regardless, if you didn’t already know him by now — you should.

Ahead of the release of her debut album Don’t Look Down on July 9, Skylar Grey has teamed up with Gap’s Styld.by to model some of the retailer’s stylish new summer fashions, such as the above pictured woven shorts, short- sleeved navy smock top and and leather jacket. (Like what you see? Grab the top here and the shorts here!)

Back in April, we asked you guys an important question: Between Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, which Post-Disney Pop Princess would ultimately rule the roost in 2013?
And, after a whole lot of voting (and bickering in the comments) between Lovatics, Selenators and Smilers from around the world, a victor was eventually crowned: Miss Demi Lovato.
Two months later, and we’ve now heard the lead singles from each of the pop starlets’ upcoming records: There was Demi’s BPM-raising “Heart Attack,” Selena’s sultry Bollywood flirtation “Come & Get It,” and today, we heard the radio premiere of Miley’s moody, Mike WiLL Made It-produced midtempo, “We Can’t Stop.”
So now that we’ve got all three, it’s your turn to debate: Whose lead single is the best? More »

Relive The Music Surprises
|
Last week we brought you the third and final Kia Sorento Serenades clip with Boyz II Men, in which Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman helped Katie surprise her older sister/B2M fan Kristine by showing up at her house and singing an a cappella rendition of “Water Runs Dry.”
But before we close the book on this series of videos featuring the legendary male vocal group giving contest winners the thrill of a lifetime, why not take one final look at each musical surprise Kia orchestrated in the compilation clip above?
This is, as the gentleman above once sang, the end of the road.
Father’s Day is just around the corner. To let dads everywhere know just how much we appreciate for all that they’ve done for us — from teaching us how to ride a two-wheeler to reminding us it’s never too early to start saving up for retirement. For many of us, we also have the dads of the world to thank for some of our earliest music memories, whether it was taking us to our very first concert, introducing us to some of our favorite music acts or setting the VCR to record a live TV performance that was well past our bedtime.
So, to celebrate Fathers’s Day on June 16, Idolator is giving away a $100 gift card to Best Buy! Head below for details on how to enter.

UK sensations Little Mix made X Factor history in 2011 by becoming the first-ever group to win the entire show…ever. (Even One Direction didn’t win during their season!) Since then, the girls have gone on to top the charts worldwide with their debut record DNA, and now, they’re now heading stateside to launch a full-on USA takeover this summer.
The fabulous foursome’s DNA is officially out in the US today, which includes their debut single “Wings” and Missy Elliott collaboration “How Ya Doin?” — and we’d like to celebrate the occasion. How? By giving away two signed copies of their album — and early access to their ‘Good Morning America’ performance in NYC on June 7. More »
