‘American Idol’ Season 10 Finale Pulls Mega Ratings

29.3 million, that’s how many people tuned in last night to watch as Scotty McCreery was named America’s newest Idol. If that number seems high to you, it’s because it is — a whole 21 percent higher than Season 9′s finale (and Simon Cowell’s farewell show). Was it the slew of star-studded performances or perhaps simply that AI has finally found it’s perfect blend of judges — seeing as the overall season’s ratings are up five percent? Whatever the reason, it doesn’t seem like fans missed their tight shirt-wearing snarky Brit, what will that mean for American X Factor viewership this fall?

Britney Spears And Beyonce To Perform At The Billboard Music Awards

Here’s one more reason to hope today isn’t actually Judgment Day — rumor has it, if we’re all still here tomorrow, we’ll be treated to two performances by Ms. Britney Jean Spears at the Billboard Music Awards! Assuming the world doesn’t end, the cosmically radiant diva will at least be singing about end times when she joins Nicki Minaj to perform their “Till The World Ends” remix. She’s also been tapped to join LOUD-mouth Rihanna on yet another remix, their ode to the smell of sex “S&M.” And if these ladies don’t sufficiently rule the planet for you, hyena-wrangling Millennium Award-recipient Beyonce will be on hand to treat us to “Run The World (Girls).” More »

Pink Says “Nay” To Selena Gomez’s Horse Of A Different Color

Another day, another Twitter feud between high-profile pop stars. Selena Gomez may love rainbow-colored ponies as much as she loves her new single “I Love You Like A Love Song,” but there’s at least one other musician seeing red at the idea of unnaturally-hued animals: Pink. When the “F**kin Perfect” singer caught wind of the purple-and-(ironically)-pink-dyed ponies on the set of the Teen Vogue cover girl’s latest vid, she fired off an angry tweet: “If there are any animal activists around Malibu- at Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video. Chris Brown And Justin Bieber Will Be “Next 2 You” In Their Upcoming Video

We thought Chris Brown could hardly do any better than collaborate with a Jonas brother in order to earn some good publicity. We were wrong. The next stop on Chris Brown’s image rehabilitation tour is a music video with the recently egged Justin Bieber — and we’re pretty sure the meanest thing he’s ever done is call CSI‘s Marg Helgenberger “kinda lame.” The dentally hygienic teen’s manager, Scooter Braun, has tweeted that their video for “Next 2 You” will be “crazy.” For now, check out a recent clip of the Bieb and the temperamental Belieber performing together in Syndey below.

Lady Gaga And Her Giant Skirt Invade Paris

This must be the “BornThisWayMadness” Lady Gaga was tweeting about earlier today. The Judas lover was spotted this evening leaving her hotel in Paris in what appears to be a skirt from the back of Stevie Nicks’ closet and her new two-toned hair done up in a fancy bun. Justin Bieber Is Egged During Australian Concert, Gets Over It Easy

We always knew Justin Bieber had some very young chicks throwing themselves at him, but this is ridiculous. During his performance of “One Time” at a Sydney show on Friday, the contemplative teen star was nearly egged six times by some apparent non-Beliebers — though fortunately bad aim prevented any of the would-be omelets from directly hitting “Mr. Horny.” Is this some kind of meta-statement related to the Biebs’ controversial (and misquoted) statements about abortion in Rolling Stone? Is songwriter Heather Bright out for revenge? Or was an Aussie fan just dissatisfied with their singing toothbrush? Watch a video of the Sydney scramble below.

Eminem Planning Joint EP With Royce Da 5’9″
