Lady Gaga Says New Album Out This Year: Watch

Thu Jan 5 2012 by Robbie Daw
Undaunted by the fact that, so far, "Marry The Night" is her first single to miss the Top 10 (or perhaps because of it), Lady Gaga is already talking about her follow-up LP to Born This Way. Mother Monster made a couple references to her next album during a sitdown with The Insider. "I wake up in the morning with tears in my eyes and I write new songs," she said. "I think about the future and the next record and how I can make the stage more beautiful." But it seems like the future, with regards to her third album, isn't too far off. More »

Will.i.am Brings His iPad Onto ‘The Tonight Show’

Wed Jan 4 2012 by Becky Bain
Will.i.am's "T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)" continues to hammer its way into existence with a late-night performance of the track on The Tonight Show. Instead of Jennifer Lopez or Mick Jagger, though, viewers got an eyeful of a dozen iPads strapped to the heads of will and his backup dancers. (Due to his on-screen visage lip-synching to pre-recorded vocals, will avoided another on-air lyrical fail.) Someone's either getting a nice big check from Apple, or will.i.am is a generous soul when it comes to product placement. Watch will.i.am's two-minute iPad commercial below. More »

Wed Jan 4 2012 by Robbie Daw
Justin Bieber had to settle for having the second biggest Christmas album of last year (thanks to that other crooning Canadian, Michael Buble), but that didn't stop him from spreading the holiday cheer amongst the underprivileged kids of Whitney Elementary in Las Vegas. The Bieb teamed up with Ellen DeGeneres, who aired the below segment of the 17-year-old singer at the school on her show today. More »

Watch Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, & Justin Bieber Rock ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’

Sun Jan 1 2012 by Idolator Staff
We sure hope you had a rockin' New Year's Eve of your own, but if not, things were plenty rockin' on the couch in front of the TV screen, too. So many of our favorite acts performed on ABC's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, we hardly knew what to do with ourselves! Naturally, the most attention-grabbing set involved Lady Gaga wearing a New Year's Eve ball of her own, but we also got to say goodbye to a couple of 2011's biggest hits ("Super Bass" and "Party Rock Anthem") as Nicki Minaj and LMFAO performed those and singles for the New Year: "Roman In Moscow" and "Sorry For Party Rocking." Plus, Justin Bieber played with Carlos Santa! Catch it all below. More »

Sun Jan 1 2012 by Idolator Staff
Only in Times Square, and only on New Years Eve could Lady Gaga dress like an oddball and fit in perfectly. Watch Gaga emerge from her black sequined octopus costume to reveal that she's singing with her head inside a giant ball. 3... 2... 1... More »

Indeed, she nails it so well that you can see catch glimpses of her fellow contestants seething right after her voice kicks in. Is Min the next Susan Boyle? (or at least the next Sung-Bong Choi?) Mon Dec 26 2011 by Idolator Staff
By now you have either had yourself a merry little Christmas, or not. But we'd have to be real Scrooges to deny you this clip of Christina Aguilera hitting notes you never knew were possible in "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" for ABC's Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade special. Maroon 5's #1-mate was, thankfully, wearing modest full-length pants this time as she took on the holiday classic, belting it the way only Xtina can. If you're having a hard time getting the yuletide out of your system just yet, head below to watch. More »

George Michael Opens Up About His Recent Health Crisis

Fri Dec 23 2011 by Idolator Staff
"Last Christmas," George Michael was feeling a lot better than this year. Last month, the former Wham! member canceled the remaining dates of his tour to battle pneumonia, and today at a UK press conference, the singer revealed just how dire his health has been over the last few weeks, describing it as "the worst month of my life." Yikes! The icon went on to discuss how the fact that he survived has renewed his, um, "Faith," and proceeded to get choked up about his brush with death, visibly struggling to get through the latter half of his statement. Watch it below. More »

Last night was the big finale of The X Factor, and we watched Melanie Amaro emerge victorious and walk away with a cool $5 million recording contract. But that doesn't mean runner-up Josh Krajcik and third-placer Chris Rene didn't turn in memorable performances, too. After dueting with Alanis Morissette, R. Kelly, and Avril Lavigne, this trio had to prove they could hold their own on stage with their "Song To Win." Before we sit back and anxiously await season two, let's take one final look at these runner-up artists and catch Melanie Amaro's triumphant rendition of Beyonce's "Listen" below. More »
