leadgaga2Part two of “Lady GaGa, the Illuminati Puppet” has been posted, with much more photographic evidence of her links to the Masons (all taken from a photo shoot that’s a Hello Kitty tie-in… uh oh, am I going to have to rethink my childhood?) and a pretty-well-backed-up assertion that her elaborate outfit changes during the Video Music Awards were actually an extended homage to Alice In Wonderland: “Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz are two of the biggest mind control themes in use, interestingly enough, due to all their ready-made symbolisms, use of ‘inverted reality,’ reality vs. dream and illusion, and word play,” the author helpfully reminds us. The Pop Economy: The Troubles With Girl Groups

sugababesblahBehind the Sugababes’ latest lineup machinations, which make one wonder if the group is shape-shifting into a sort of female British Menudo, is a trend piece about enough slant histrionics to make Ken Russell films wilt. There’s even something telling in the yearlong break rival girl group Girls Aloud announced in July, following on the heels of some of their strongest offerings yet. If the crown jewels in Britain’s pop tiara are wont to defect so quickly—and leave us with The Saturdays—shouldn’t it be time to reassess the girl group as a business model? Perhaps, with pop going the way of our economy, we probably shouldn’t be turning to something as volatile as singer-stuffed girl groups for a bailout.

Has Mariah Carey Psyched Out Her Voice?

Was she feeling the emotions welling up from Michael Jackson’s death during her slightly off performance yesterday, as she claimed—or is her voice just shot from Choire Sicha at The Awl thinks it might be the latter, based on an interview he conducted with her a few years back where they discussed just how her voice made its octave-leaping sounds. “I do really have different vocal cords,” she told Sicha at the time. “It’s because they’re not––I don’t use my voice the way different people use their vocal cords.
