Timbaland, SoShy And Nelly Furtado Kind Of Sing For Conan

nellytimsoshyTimbaland is sticking to the promo trail for his upcoming album, Shock Value II. Sunday he performed new single “Morning After Dark” with SoShy and Nelly Furtado at the American Music Awards, and last night the trio hit up The Tonight Show to belt out the tune for Conan O’Brien.

Although, “belt” might not exactly be the proper term. It sounded like Timbaland was sing-rapping over a guide track (or three), but you could still hear his live voice despite all the advanced technology. As for Nelly Furtado—well, you be the judge. MORE »

Lady Gaga Tells Leno She’s ‘Okay’ With Grammy New Artist Shut-Out

gagaleno

Lady Gaga went on The Jay Leno Show last night to promote The Fame Monster, and tossed out a few flip answers to the nighttime host’s questions. When asked how the nuns reacted to the music she performed while still a Catholic school student, she replied, “Well, my music was different when I was in high school. I was singing about love—things I don’t care about anymore.”

Leno also inquired as to what Gaga plans to wear when she performs for Queen Elizabeth II in December. Her reply: “Latex and fishnets.”

Susan Boyle Goes ‘Wild’ On The ‘Today Show’

susan-boyle1Amazon.com sensation Susan Boyle can kiss the days of pre-orders goodbye, as her album I Dreamed A Dream was finally released today. To promote it, the Britain’s Got Talent vixen jetted off to New York—for the first time, apparently—and took to the Today Show stage to perform “I Dreamed A Dream” and “Wild Horses” (video clip after the jump). Alicia Keys And Leona Lewis Do ‘DWTS,’ Keys Reveals Tracklist

alicia

It’s like we’re taking shelter in the basement as the Alicia Keys media blitz tornado tears through the backyard. The piano-friendly pop star released her video for “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart” earlier this week, and last night she hit up Dancing With The Stars to shill the new single. Leona Lewis performed on the show, as well.

Rap Radar also posted the tracklist for Keys’ upcoming album The Element Of Freedom, which includes a Beyonce appearance on the tune “Put It In A Love Song.” But is Drake now missing? Hmmm.

Catch Alicia Keys and Leona Lewis on DWTS—plus the tracklist for The Element Of Freedom—after the jump. MORE »

Lady Gaga Does ‘Bad Romance’ On ‘Gossip Girl’

bad-romance

Admittedly, it’s been awhile since we tuned in to Gossip Girl. Whereas Season 1 offered up decent fodder worthy of original Melrose Place-type watercooler chit chat, Season 2 got a bit off track. And though the Hilary Duff stunt-casting/lesbian kiss wasn’t enough to draw us in recently, there was an overall morbid curiosity to watch last night’s episode and see how Lady Gaga’s performance of “Bad Romance” (not to mention her neverending red gown) would factor into it all.

Thankfully, that’s where YouTube comes in handy. Catch Lady Gaga briefly weaving in and out of Dan, Vanessa, Serena and Nate’s forever-tortured love lives after the jump. MORE »

The Black Eyes Peas Boom Boom Pummel Kathie Lee On ‘SNL’

snl1

The Black Eyed Peas hit up Saturday Night Live this past weekend, and also hit (and bludgeoned and pounced on repeatedly) Kathie Lee Gifford. The big letdown was that a.) it was just a SNL skit mocking the Today Show, and not some spontaneous act of rage brought about by rogue, anti-Kathie Lee BEP members, and b.) it wasn’t even the real Kathie Lee, but rather Kristen Wiig’s boozy take on her. Sugababes Perform ‘About A Girl’ Live(-ish?)

sugababes

Sugababes version 4.0 appeared on London-based breakfast show GMTV this morning to promote their new British single “About A Girl.” There’s much debate going on among the YouTube commentator set about whether or not the ‘babes actually sang live or lip synched over a live-sounding vocal track.

Either way, the interesting bit isn’t in the vocals—it’s in watching newest member Jade Ewen acclimate herself so ably into the group’s hip-swaying bump ‘n grind routines. MORE »
