APW2002083069569It’s been a month since the announcement that Axl Rose and whatever musicians he’s working with these days would be crisscrossing Asia for a tour later this week, and now there’s more news on the Guns N’ Roses touring front: Ticketmaster’s Canadian arm will hold presales for a bunch of 2010 shows in the Great White North this week. Yes, really. Full itinerary after the jump. MORE »

Guns N’ Roses Guitarist Would Like To Say That He Has Nothing To Say About The Possibly Upcoming Guns N’ Roses Tour

ron_thal_bumblefoot-12474Last week, news that Guns N’ Roses might rouse themselves from their long slumber and tour Asia later this year lit up the Internet, and Universal Music Japan even got into the act by posting Japanese tour dates on its Web site. What does newish Guns recruit Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal have to say about all this? According to a post on his forum, it could be summed up in three words, two of which are “I” and “know.” MORE »

Kanye West And Lady GaGa To Take Their Celebrity On The Road

kanye-gaga-reflex-475x332-171x120Guys, what if Kanye West’s Taylor Swiftboating and Lady GaGa’s self-sacrifice at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards were nothing more than some high-concept promotion for their upcoming joint trip to arenas across North America… which is called, if you want to believe it, “The Fame Kills Tour”? The dates for the tour popped up on the concert-info clearinghouse Pollstar at some point between GaGa’s nearly naked VMA afterparty performance and Kanye’s 14th apology of the past 72 hours. I’m starting to feel even more played here. Dates after the jump! MORE »

Guns N’ Roses: Touring, But Not Hitting India (Yet) (Maybe) (Possibly) (Oh, I Don’t Know)

APW2002083069569Yesterday there was scuttlebutt that Axl Rose and whatever band of merry men he decides to call Guns N’ Roses would be hitting India in November, and while those reports seemed sketchy and are still completely uncorroborated, there’s a somewhat-more-confirmed itinerary for the band in December: GNR will allegedly hit Taiwan, Japan, and Korea then. And by “somewhat-more-confirmed,” I mean that the shows actually have a commercial! It’s after the jump. MORE »

maxwellMaxwell may not be collaborating with R. Kelly, but he has announced the next leg of his tour. Dates stretch from late September to mid-October, and he’ll be bringing along Common and Chrisette Michele. So far there are only 14 dates on this jaunt, but given that tickets sold pretty well for his summer theater tour, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few extra dates added along the way. Tickets go on pre-sale tomorrow; full itinerary at the “MORE” link. MORE »

Daft Punk To Bring The Music Of “Tron Legacy” To A Venue Near You

daft-punkFresh from San Diego Comic-Con, here are a few bits on the Daft Punk-helmed soundtrack for Tron 2.0—now called Tron Legacy—and how it came about: “Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski described his meeting with Daft Punk as being a ‘mysterious pancake breakfast in L.A.’ And yes, they were wearing the helmets. Asked if they tour in support of the soundtrack, he said there would definitely be Daft Punk Tron-themed events on the horizon.” Wait, wait… how did they get pancakes through those helmets? We need more details! [Movieline] MORE »
