Monday (March 26), we got a 30-second preview of Jonas Brotherspeppy new single, “Pom Poms,” and today we’ve got an even shorter teaser for the music video. For such a quick clip, they managed to fit in lots of rock posturing and pyrotechnics. Other than that, though, there’s not much to go on. Check out the teaser up top. More »

Jaden Smith’s “Hello”: Watch The Cool Black & White Clip

Jaden Smith Hello Video Still
Oh Hey.

Hip-hop whiz kid Jaden Smith makes cool music and is better dressed than we will ever be, which might not be fair, but it’s just how the world works. Luckily, he’s talented enough that we can’t be too pressed over it, and the video for his latest track, “Hello,” shows off an impressive dimension of swag and attitude.

The clip sees Smith walking the streets of Brooklyn, shot in moody black-and-white, but Smith isn’t too moody himself — surely, he’s a little lighter than he and sister Willow Smith were on their recent buzz track “Kite” — and the song’s catchy sound serves nicely to brighten things up a bit.  More »

Michael Buble’s “It’s A Beautiful Day” Video: Watch The Sunny Suburban Clip

March 26th, 2013 // 2 Comments
Michael Buble Wonderful Day Video Still
And How Wonderful It Is!

Ah, it is a beautiful day, isn’t it? And more importantly, it’s a beautiful Michael Bublé: The crooner is looking extra-handsome and dapper in the clip for his new single “It’s A Beautiful Day,” which is a bright and sunny track set to — hey! — a bright and sunny video. Funny how that works out so nicely.

Onward: The video features Jaime Pressly (who’s kind of underrated, isn’t she?) as his wife, and Bublé gets cuckolded (poor guy) and goes for a walk in the sunshine, where he’s surrounded by beautiful women. If it isn’t the subtlest concept in the world, it works well here — the whole thing is just so irrepressible.  More »

A$AP Rocky & Skrillex hit the Dominican Republic in their new video for “Wild for the Night,” the trap rap/trap rave song from Rocky’s sprawling LongLiveA$AP. Watch Jessica Sanchez Perform An Acoustic Version Of “Tonight”

Just Jessica

Jessica Sanchez just unleashed the video for her first single “Tonight,” and she has already put together an unplugged version of the track. Sanchez performed the acoustic take of her Me, You & the Music song for Yahoo!, swapping out Ne-Yo for a couple of guitarists, and the stripped down version showcases her vocal power — as well as our favorite lyric of 2013 so far (“Everybody’s wack and so depressing”).

While we were just getting used to the new, dancier Sanchez, this takes us back to those dramatic American Idol performances that made us such big Sanchez fans last year. Check out the performance up top, head here for the lyrics to “Tonight.” More »

Promotions queen Ciara isn’t playing when it comes to “Body Party,” the latest single from her upcoming album One Woman Army. (She also stopped by Idolator HQ last week to hang for a bit — more on that to come.) But the “Goodies” songstress has  been making all kinds of promo rounds in New York and Los Angeles, and accordingly, she can be seen giving all kinds of fierce in April’s issues of Annex Magazine and Vogue. Nikki Williams’ “Glowing”: Watch The Party-Happy New Video

Nikki Williams "Glowing" Video Still
Glowing Bright!

Our friend (and Popping Up veteranNikki Williams has been teasing the video for her new single “Glowing” — a euphoric track that’s currently climbing the dance charts — and now she’s premiered the full thing, a celebratory clip that’s about, y’know, partying and stuff!

Tracking Williams and her crew on a road trip and through the party-crowded streets of Miami (where Williams recently performed at Ultra), there’s a lot of throwing your hands up in the air sometimes and appearing generally ebullient. The clip certainly fits the mood of the song, and Williams looks great, so it more than does the trick — and “Glowing” remains one of our favorite dance tracks of the year.  More »

Fall Out Boy’s “The Phoenix”: Watch The Gory Video

Flying High
Flying High

As if we weren’t already anticipating Fall Out Boy’s new album enough (what with the release of the first single and the recent collaboration confirmations), the guys have released another video for their song “The Phoenix” — and this one is not for the faint of heart (or stomach).

There is a lot going on in this plot-driven video, which functions as a prequel to last month’s “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up).” The song itself is similarly heavy, with a driving beat and a stripped down pre-chorus featuring Patrick Stump’s vocals, which then explodes into the refrain, and the video (directed by DONALD/ZAEH, as was “My Songs”) is reminiscent of an especially gory episode of Criminal Minds. 50 Cent & Kendrick Lamar Get Luxurious In “We Up” Video: Watch

50 Cent We Up Video
They Up

As the great American poet Fergie once said: “G-L-A-M,” or whatever. Point being: 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar are living the glamorous life in the video for 50′s swaggy new single “We Up,” which is a good song! And hypothetically, it’s all good things: It’s good to be rich and live in a big house in the Hollywood Hills (well, it’s a day rental, but they cultivate the fantasy effectively enough) and have vixens draped across fur rugs and all that, but it’s not a very imaginative video, is it?
