StooShe is back with a new video, and this one’s a lot more somber than the busy eye-popping visuals of “Love Me” — appropriate, since this is more a mournful take on love gone awry than the kind of frisky jam the ladies are known for.

In “Black Heart,” the trio channels The Supremes as old-school television performers whose personal lives reflect the song of heartbreak they’re singing. (There’s a guy in particular who seems to have done at least one of them wrong.) “Daddy, I’ve fallen for a monster,” the divas from South East London sing. “Somehow he’s scaring me to death.”

But even with that heavy subject matter and the title “Black Heart,” the video is gorgeously shot in vibrant colors. Unlike the no-good man the song’s about, this classy vid’s definitely a keeper.

Okay, we know we say a lot of artists are our faves, but with Marina and the Diamonds, we really mean it. May we call your attention to this performance of “Primadonna” on The Graham Norton Show as evidence of her inestimable greatness? Everything about this performance sparkles — obviously, we love the single, but Marina also manages to make her singing captivate the whole way through with minimal choreography and facial expressions. (Lana Del Rey and Nicki Minaj might want to take notes at how to do both a little and a lot simultaneously.) Plus, there’s a fake puppy on stage to sell the theme of the song — what better symbol of overprivileged rich girl status than a tiny dog? We’ll stop gushing now, but let us know what you think on Facebook, Twitter or in the comments.

John Mayer has given up running through the halls of his high school, and has taken to travelling the countryside in his new video “Shadow Days”, the lead single off his upcoming album Born And Raised (May 22). Sporting stubble, long hair and a cowboy hat, Mayer looks like Johnny Depp starring in a western, and his life on the road consists of eating at truckstop diners, snapping pics of the isolate terrain, and getting all introspective while playing his guitar.

The singer certainly appears to have shifted gears from being the loud-talking, celeb-dating-and-dumping playboy of his past. “I quit the soundbite game,” Mayer said back in 2010 after he was criticized for comments in his Playboy magazine interview. (Remember “sexual napalm?” Jessica Simpson probably doesn’t.) “I quite the media game. I’m out. I’m done. I just want to play my guitar to whoever’s around.” What do you think of this softer side of Mr. Mayer?

The official video for Rihanna‘s latest banger “Where Have You Been” doesn’t arrive until Monday, April 30 at 9 a.m. EST on VEVO, but till then the “Princess Of China” herself released another making-of clip. This time, she takes us on set of the days-long shoot, where we get to see the choreography brought to life in a lush Pandora-like jungle setting, the elaborate desert tribe-inspired costuming — including Ri’s “big pasties” — and a glamorous and smokey third sequence in which the star sports some Diana Ross locks. Plus, we learn a few key bits of trivia from this latest installment, including that the last day of shooting took more than 17 hours and that Rihanna watches Family Guy and possibly NatGeo. More »

Rihanna‘s “Gangster Goth Geisha” finally has its day in the sun, now that the visual for her cameo on Coldplay‘s “The Princess of China” has surfaced. The 2:38 clip will be played during Coldplay’s live shows, since the busy Barbadian beauty can’t just pop up to sing her part at every stop on Chris Martin and Co.’s tour. Both artists will appear together next week on American Idol‘s Thursday night results show (May 3) to perform the song, but till then you can peep RiRi in two dramatic upswept ‘dos, long gold nails and silken robes as she gracefully moves a cadre of arms like the Hindu deity Lakshmi.

Nicki Minaj claimed that the video for her Roman Reloaded single “Starships” was “going to be very, very saucy” — and after watching the premiere of the anticipated clip, saucy isn’t the half of it. In the Anthony Mandler-directed video, Harajuku Barbie gets literally beamed down to the beach, and her mission is to throw the best damn party of all time in what might just be a backdrop from Lost. Minaj also sets to prove that her derriere is all her — there’s no way you could fit padding in a skimpy bikini like that. Watch the video for her RedOne-produced smash above, and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Favorites is our recurring video series on the personal preferences of the pop artists who inspire us. Because the artists we love love stuff too.

Back in December, we got the chance to chat with The Voice Season 1 runner-up Dia Frampton fresh off the release of her debut solo album Red. Naturally, we wanted to know what made the ridiculously adorable Kid Cudi collaborator tick. Watch above as “The Broken Ones” songstress spills about her competitive edge when it comes to working out, her love of Switzerland and the one thing she can’t cook — because it totally freaks her out.

Justin Bieber’s Discusses “Jerry”, And Demands A Unicorn On His Tour Rider

Bieber's Wee-Wee Has A Nickname!

Justin Bieber sat down with Capital Breakfast morning radio show in London on Tuesday (Apr. 24) and the conversation ended up revolving around “Jerry”. Now we would love to tell you that “Jerry” is simply the Biebs’ alter ego, like Beyoncé‘s Sasha Fierce or Mariah Carey‘s Mimi. But sadly no, Jerry is a reference to — uh, how do we say this? — JB’s penis. Yep! That’s what those lovably raunchy Beliebers nicknamed the Canadian crooner’s member. Sheesh. Above, watch the “Boyfriend” singer discuss the upcoming Summertime Ball, Believe and hitting One Direction‘s Siva on his Jerry. Meanwhile, we’ll attempt to wrap our minds around the fact our little Justin Bieber has gone from singing about his “Baby”, to writing songs about baby-mama drama and chatting about his weiner.

In the first teaser video for her Calvin Harris-collaboration “Call My Name”, we only get fourteen precious seconds of Cheryl Cole — and most of that is focused on her impossibly bright heels. There’s not much else to ascertain from the preview — the Brit singer struts through a tunnel in a loud, tropical blouse — but worry not, because we’re sure to get oodles of more teasers before the full video premieres on May 2.

The members of Foster The People are killed within the first five seconds of their “Houdini” visual, as rigging from the set of their latest music video falls and crushes the poor gents. But a dark and mysterious music boss calls upon a special team to move the band’s corpses around like puppets long enough to finish the shoot. There’s just one other problem — FTP also have a concert scheduled at the El Rey in Los Angeles.
