Watch How The Internet Turned On An Animated Justin Bieber

July 9th, 2010 // 1 Comment

Taiwan aired a computer-animation on one of their news programs to dramatize all the different ways the Internet has turned on web-raised pop cupcake Justin Bieber this past year. Apparently, we somehow missed the story about Bieber going to an STD clinic and flying through his windshield without getting a scratch on him. If there was ever a definition for “WTF”, this is it. Catch up on Bieber’s alleged exploits in animated form below!

July 9th, 2010 // Leave a Comment

Every track from Robyn’s Idolator-approved Body Talk Pt. 1 is outrageously catchy on its own, but when you mash up another song with the Swede’s dance-pop tunes, your aural enjoyment gets amplified to the extreme! Check out some rockin’ Robyn mash-ups below, including “Dancing On My Own” mixed with AC/DC’s “Shook Me All Night Long”, as well as “Fembot” combined with Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It.” More »

June 25th, 2010 // 1 Comment

Now that Michael Jackson has been gone one full year, many continue to speculate could possibly take his place as the King of Pop—if there ever could be such a person! Well, if somebody’s got to do it, it may as well be this 4-year old from China, the world’s youngest Michael Jackson impersonator. Not only are the kid’s moves pretty great, the snarky narration over the clip is hilarious. Guess someone isn’t gushing with respect on the anniversary of the man’s death. Watch below.

Best Spoof Video Ever?: Old Lady Gaga “Alejandro”

June 24th, 2010 // 4 Comments

You may recognize Jackie Hoffman from her Broadway stints in Hairspray, Xanadu and, currently, The Addams Family, but prepare to witness the spectacular role she was born to play—Old Lady Gaga. Director Jake Wilson whipped up a near-three-minute spoof of Lady Gaga’s “Alejandro” video for his The Battery’s Down series, and we’re not sure which scene gets us turned on more—the Fixodent stuck to Jackie’s boobs, Old Gaga’s naughty gyrations with the hunky male dancers or her hacking up the Rosary after attempting to swallow it. Marvel below!

One Christina Aguilera Fan Buys 250 Copies Of ‘Bionic’ (And It Still Slid Down The Chart)

June 23rd, 2010 // 8 Comments

Don’t try to tell this Christina Aguilera supporter that Bionic is off to a hot mess of a start. It seems the Sound Of Music Blog scoured an Xtina fan forum (hey—it’s a dirrty job, but someone’s got to do it!) and found one Aguilera follower who purchased 250 copies of the singer’s latest album in a bid to boost it up the charts. Alas, after debuting last week on the Billboard Top 200 at #3, Bionic dropped on the new tally published today to #9. Maybe try buying 500 copies this week?

Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” Gets Dorkified

June 17th, 2010 // 3 Comments

What if you combined Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” with the E3 video game conference happening in Los Angeles right now? You’d get the clever parody “California Dorks,” written and performed by a dude who calls himself Skyway Flyer. The dork in question references Star Wars, Lost, Back To The Future, Cali residents’ favorite fast food chain In-N-Out, and, of course, old school Nintendo games. All the guy is missing is a cupcake jock strap, but at least this video actually takes place in California. Watch below!

Kelly Clarkson Trots Out “Sweet Child O’ Mine” (Again) At A Karaoke Bar

June 15th, 2010 // 45 Comments

Could we ever forget Kelly Clarkson’ drunken night at Sunset Strip staple Metal Skool back in 2006, where she and Yellowcard’s Ryan Key were coerced on stage to warble some classic Guns N’ Roses and Def Leppard? Hardly. And apparently, neither can Kelly. Head below for video of the Season 1 American Idol winner and couple pals belting out “Sweet Child O’ Mine” at Nashville’s Larry’s Lounge last night.

The Only Katy Perry “California Gurls” GIF You Need

June 15th, 2010 // 12 Comments
Watch Video

We’re not the only ones surprised that the music video to Katy Perry‘s “California Gurls” is not set in the Golden State. By her recurring expression in the vid, it looks as though Katy herself is shocked to be in Candyfornia. We felt it necessary to compile the best stunned faces of the wig-rockin’ pop singer into one ultimate GIF. Click below to watch Katy’s eye-bugging looks over and over and over again. More »

Batter Up! Meet Christina Aguilera, Expert Cough Drop Pitcher

June 9th, 2010 // Leave a Comment

During her Today Show appearance yesterday, polarizing lyricist Christina Aguilera popped a cough drop out of her mouth and tossed it to some dude in a blue baseball cap in the audience. At least we hope it was a cough drop—and not a nasty wad of gum—since she mentioned in her Fuse TV interview that she’s been getting over the sniffles. Anyway, odds of whatever it was in her mouth ending up on eBay? We’d say pretty good. Watch Xtina’s lozenge toss below! More »
