I live in L.A.
If I want a new CD, I am more or less going to find it (read: Amoeba).
What annoys me is the number of people who live elsewhere, who want to buy CD's, and just can't find them.
Example: An artist I work for (desperately trying to hold back the urge to plug plug plug) had a CD come out on Tuesday.

Not that I would ever look at a porn web site (COUGH), but a minute of web searching, based on the details of the original WMV file floating around, got me this:

It is just some amateur girl.

As a person who has had to deal with a number of watermarked recordings, I can definitely say that simply ripping a watermarked file from one format to another will *NOT* remove the watermark.
I put up 30 seconds excerpts of watermarked files on a web site for a client (had no choice - label only sent me watermarks).
