The NFL will get exactly want it wants with Petty--a set of safe well-known songs (I'm sure "You Don't Know How It Feels" or "Mary Jane's last Dance" won't make the cut) that won't drive people away.
That being said, TP& the HB's have never done a bad show in the 20 plus years I've been seening them.

Well, considering neither Genesis or Dave Matthews Band are currently on tour, I would assume the figures that AP quoted from Pollstar are either flat wrong, or the year to date tally.

Geffen already was "an impresario-founded label that lives on in name only." The label name was only reactivated a couple years ago when they shifted the MCA rock acts over.
