I thought you might be interested in this for your Corporate Rock column: Atlanta's 99x is going off the air in two weeks and most of the DJs were fired over the weekend. It's supposedly staying on as an online / HD station.

Whatever happens, it's a huge blow for modern rock in the Southeast, as 99x was the "tastemaker" station for a long time.

Also, thank you for posting a picture of Kanye in those stupid-ass glasses to remind me that he's just too full of bad ideas these days to drop an album as good as his first 2.

@ITMS: No, you're totally right, that's exactly what this song conjured for me when I first heard it on the album, which is why I was surprised when it was picked as a single.

@westartedthis: Kanye's improvised live-action series that was being pitched to HBO has nothing to do with Kanye's hip hop puppet show that Comedy Central already greenlit.

He'll never make a hunk of cheese as big as "Tender," if you ask me.

While he was reading this issue, KK was preoccupied with both a possible collapse of the worldwide financial superstructure and various televised interviews with the governor of Alaska.

is it possible HBO is passing on the show because it's just not a great idea?
Didn't stop them with Def Poetry, True Blood, Little Britain USA, Tell Me You Love Me, John From Cincinatti, Dane Cook's Tourgasm or Lucky Louie.

@robthaintern: @Nunya B: Kelly and Michelle and LaToya have all had good singles, but fans of other members of Destiny's Child seriously need to get the fuck over their persecution complex already.
