I'm not an Austinite, no. From Houston-- but I make it over to the good city as often as I can. It's a jewel.

And the Pelevin. I was surprised. Initially, I didn't care for it-- I was having a hard time necessarily understanding what I was to get from it. It just seemed kind of awkward. And then I realised, I get what I put in. I don't know if the translation was as good as it could've been, but my Russian is non-existent. I'm looking forward to grabbing one or two of the novels proper next time I pop into the central branch of the library. It seems to be excellent stuff.

I've actually got the Four Stories volume out right now, haven't got a chance to read it yet (more than a few pages so far, anyway), had a lot of work lately. It's on my bedside mantle. Look to be dropping into it tonight.

Fuck yeah, I love Autolux. I put it in because I was upset when some commentator used shoegazing as an example of emo, which just boggled my mind. Only reason I removed it was because it was making my handle too long. I'll probably start rotating around other lyrics every once in a while.
