In June of 2012, rapper Azealia Banks got in on the fishy trend when she unleashed her Mermaid Ball as her first-ever New York show at the Bowery Ballroom. The "212" artist tweeting a photo of herself decked out her mermaid costume which included gold sequined seashell-shaped pasties.
