Anyone who tried to prepare a CMJ agenda for themselves this week invariably came across a hundred or so band names that were new to them. Throw in the band names you come across skimming through countless blogs and it's very easy to convince yourself that you've heard of a band that doesn't exist.

It's only embarrassing if you then also confess to only being into their earlier, less polished material.
