Ciara’s “Ride” Video: She’s Apparently Not Talking About Cars
Wed Apr 21 2010 by Robbie Daw
Two Ciara videos in one week? We must have been extremely naughty. Luckily CiCi has curbed the aggro ways she displayed in her "Basic Instinct (U Got Me)" clip, and instead goes for a much more, uh, flexible approach in her music vid for "Ride," which also features sexting expert Ludacris. So if you ever found yourself curious as to how much Ciara can bend, arch, bounce and spread, well then head below, thrill seekers!

Ciara Is In Full-On Fighting Mode In Her “Basic Instinct (U Got Me)” Video
Mon Apr 19 2010 by Robbie Daw
Out of the blue, Ciara premiered a somewhat homemade-looking video for new song "Basic Instinct (U Got Me)" today via her Twitter—and girlfriend isn't really pulling any punches on the diss track. (Is that Miss Keri she's lashing out at?) "See I was out buyin' Chanel bags, while I was doin' that you turned up your swag," Ciara raps. "Caught me slippin', but get your hustle on, shorty, I ain't trippin." Ladies, ladies—can't we just put the swagger-jackin' and hair-pulling to rest? Watch "Basic Instinct (U Got Me)" after the jump.

Kelis Shines On ‘Flesh Tone’ Album Cover
Thu Apr 15 2010 by Idolator Staff
Behold the cover of Kelis' forthcoming Flesh Tone. It's a little futuristic, a little Grace Jones (ok, a lot Grace Jones), and comes with a hint of Gandalf (dig that gorgeous gray braid). The cover art was shot by the stylish photographer John "Rankin" Waddell", who previously transformed Kelis into a sultry huntress for the trippy "Acapella" video. It's almost like a mashup of two previous covers: she took the sleek vibe of her Kelis Was Here artwork and tweaked it with the wild spirit of Kaleidoscope. Well done.

Ciara Returns With New Single “Ride”, But Gosh, We Can’t Tell What It’s About
Wed Apr 14 2010 by Idolator Staff
After earning mixed-to-poor reviews for her unofficial single "Speechless", Ciara is back with a proper track, and it's a hot one. "Ride", the "official" first track from her fourth album, isn't going to win her any awards for subtlety (the hook is "He loves the way I ride it" — but it turns out she's referring to the beat, of course. Oh, what did you think she meant?). But her longtime partners Tricky Stewart and The-Dream may have put Ciara back on the map with this one. Check it below.

Wed Apr 7 2010 by Robbie Daw
Carson Daly hit the set of Ciara's "Ride It" video shoot to talk to Ludacris, and the rapper let on that's he's already working on his next album, despite the fact that Battle Of The Sexes was released a mere four weeks ago. "We just started working on Ludaversal. That will be album number eight," Luda said. "I can't give too many details about it because I'm in the early stages." Catch the rest of Carson's sitdown with Ludacris—including the MC's explanation for taking on Tiger Woods in the song "Sexting"—after the jump. More »
The Morning Mix: T-Pain To Record A Christian Album?
Mon Apr 5 2010 by Becky Bain
Did you hear?
:: T-Pain is reportedly working on a Christian pop album. We can't wait to hear his tasteful, faith-endorsing, God-fearing versions of "Reverse Cowgirl" and "Take Your Shirt Off." [Hip-Hop Wired]
:: Jay-Z and Beyonce celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary this weekend. Which goes to show that not every celebrity romance ends in Nazi tattoo strippers ruining everything. [Rap-Up]
:: Diddy threw his 12-year old son Christian a three-day long birthday party in Las Vegas, which is still nothing compared to the Sweet 16 he gave his other son Justin. Can Diddy adopt us just for one day so that we can have a kick-ass b-day party, too? [Pop Eater]
:: According to Katy Perry's t-shirt, she's a fan of Jersey Shore. [Just Jared]
:: Who should Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez date next now that they're broken up? Besides you, of course. [MTV Buzzworthy]
After the jump: Pharrell Williams turns another year older, and we take a look back at the N.E.R.D.'s hits. More »

Wed Mar 31 2010 by Becky Bain
We know Ciara can do no wrong in front of the cameras, but what about in the studio? The R&B singer teamed up with The-Dream for "Speechless," a single from her forthcoming fourth album (which will, not surprisingly, include production from The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, who oversaw much of Ciara's Fantasy Ride). Listen to the mid-tempo love song below and see if you're left bereft of words. More »
Nicki Minaj Seeks Out A “Lil Freak” For Usher In Their New Video
Thu Mar 25 2010 by Robbie Daw
At this point we've completely lost track of how many singles—promo or official—Usher has released off of constantly-delayed forthcoming album Raymond v. Raymond (which is supposedly due out March 30—yeah, right). Nonetheless, following the recent music videos for "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)" and "More," there's yet another clip to take in—this time for current single "Lil Freak."
And if you thought Lady Gaga and Beyonce were the only pop divas adept at flirting with bisexuality in front of the camera, then get a load of Nicki Minaj's escapades below! More »

The Morning Mix: Britney And Her Man Share A Romantic Happy Meal
Mon Feb 15 2010 by Becky Bain
How'd you folks spend your Valentine's Day? Did you spend thousands upon thousands of dollars hiring a jet to write your significant other's name into the sky? Or did you treat your lover to the dollar menu while at the McDonalds drive-thru like Britney Spears' agent boyfriend? Both are so very romantic in their own ways, no? Ah, l'amour.
Did You Hear?
:: Nick Cannon fondly remembers his and Mariah Carey's first Valentine's Day, when the couple almost set their hotel room on fire. (And we don't mean metaphorically. We're talking real fire.) [MTV]
:: Ciara and her abs provided the entertainment at the ARISE magazine runway show after-party this weekend at New York Fashion Week. [Rap-Up]
:: Everyone seems to think Rihanna ripped off someone with "Rude Boy", but who? Solange thinks RiRi copied her "I Decided" video, while Diplo thinks Rihanna lifted from M.I.A.'s "Boyz" (and created a remix to underscore the point). [The Boombox]
:: Blender counts down the 14 Worst Onstage Meltdowns, featuring John Mayer, his "sexual napalm" and "sexual napalm"'s younger sister. [Blender]
:: Some people can't accept that Drake has left behind the role of "Wheelchair Jimmy" on Degrassi and turned himself into one of the hottest rappers in the game. [Dealbreaker]
After the jump: a look back at Robert Palmer and his long-legged, ruby-lipped, vacant-eyed valentines from his music videos. More »
