So Fall Out Boy is taking a break. Or maybe they aren’t, and it’s really just a sugar-coated break-up? They’re denying it’s anything of the sort, so we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, but in the meantime we have a few suggestions for how Pete, Patrick & Co. should invest their free time: MORE »

Britney Spears is either a workaholic or a masochist. After a grueling seven-month tour around the world, rumor has it Brit’s releasing her seventh studio album as early as May 2010, with a bevy of familiar faces on board. MORE »

Chris Brown’s “Forever” was one of the best pop songs to emerge out of 2008, despite the flak it received for its Wrigley’s corporate tie-in. And so, setting all scandal aside–if that’s even possible—it’s nice to see (or hear, rather) there are what appear to be two obvious successors to synthy dance number “Forever” on Brown’s otherwise ballad-heavy Graffiti. They come in the forms of “I.Y.A” (or, “In Your Arms”) and “Pass Out.”

If real life therapy was anything like what’s going on in this video — Robin Thicke’s “Sex Therapy,” in which everyone’s feeling up models in a giant mansion while eating chocolate covered strawberries — we’d probably go more often. Polow Da Don’s slow-jam production has made this one a song to watch since it first appeared, and the clip doesn’t disappoint. Super sexy video after the jump: MORE »

Today Shakira premiered the Sophie Muller-directed video for “Give It Up To Me,” preceded by an interview with Carolina Bermudez of New York’s Z100 radio station.
The Timbaland-produced “Give It Up To Me” (ft. Lil Wayne, naturally) is the third single off the Colombian singer’s She Wolf album—will this one have any bite? Honestly, how many singles does this album need before release?
Believe it or not, the video marks the first time Shakira’s used backup dancers. “For the first time in my life, I’m stepping,” the singer told Bermudez. “I didn’t know what it was like to be on stage with backup dancers. You feel contained, you know?” Hey now, no fighting.
Catch the bump ‘n grind fest that is Shakira’s “Give It Up To Me” vid after the jump.

Kris Allen played an acoustic set (See? Told ya Kris should only play acoustic sets) at the Vineyard in Napa last weekend, and he played a mash-up of Kanye West’s “Heartless” and Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise”. Man, when he strikes gold once, he keeps on digging.
What famous rap song should Allen tackle next? Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop”? Eminem’s “Lose Yourself”? Lil Kim’s rap verse from “Lady Marmalade”? Or do you guys prefer Kris singing his own damn songs? MORE »

UPDATE: Alicia Keys Tweeted that the ethereal, Bodyguard-y album cover of her new album Element of Freedom going around the net is bogus, and posted the real deal on her Facebook and MySpace.
