It's hard to imagine now, but 15 years ago, there was no Britney Spears on the radio. Nor was there Christina Aguilera or Pink or Lady Gaga. Apart from the reigning divas at the time — that would be Madonna, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey — the pop landscape was filled with post-grunge rock chicks like Alanis Morissette and Courtney Love, and fresh R&B female acts like TLC, Mary J. Blige and Aaliyah. That's when American Idol creator Simon Fuller, then known best for managing Annie Lennox, took a gamble that our lives could all use a little spicing up.

We can’t help but wonder if the Bob Dylan tribute songstress was attempting to create an elaborate wardrobe distraction to keep us from noticing the sparkly diamond ring on her left ring finger. (You know, the same digit you sport an engagement ring on?) Could the 19-year-old pop star be headed down the aisle or was she simply having fun with her blingy accessories? Taylor Swift Is A Drab Working Girl In “Ours” Music Video

When you think"office drone," it's not likely that the lovely Taylor Swift comes to mind. But that's just what we see in the country songbird's latest music video, "Ours," which depicts Billboard's Woman Of The Year as an average, everyday office worker bee with a case of cubicle claustrophobia, counting down the minutes until she's reunited with her sweetheart. All the tedious workday happenings are here: the water cooler, the lunchtime gossip, the frustrations of making copies. And we double-dare you to not get a case of the "aww"s in the video's heartwarming conclusion.

While we took it upon ourselves to compile the 10 hottest photos of Joe Jonas ever earlier this month, the "See No More" singer has gone and added more dapper pics to the mix via his Paper cover shoot. The 21-year-old Jo Bro is one of three alternating artists fronting the mag's summer music issue, where he discusses his upcoming album Fastlife. "I don't mean to name-drop, but about a year-and-a-half ago I met Bono, and he told me to write music that was really honest, to not be afraid to go there," Jonas tells the mag. You don't say?

Jennifer Hudson And Selena Gomez Hospitalized After TV Appearances

Selena Gomez and Jennifer Hudson aren't having a great end to their week. After Selena's appearance on The Tonight Show, the Billboard cover girl was reportedly feeling nauseous and was rushed to the hospital where she spent the night. And this morning, Hudson suffered "abdominal pain" stemming from food poisoning after her performance on Good Morning America, and was taken to the hospital before she could tape another scheduled appearance on CBS' Early Show.
