After doling out advice on
The Voice, Adam Levine believes he can shape a star off camera, too. The Maroon 5 frontman has announced the launch of his own record label, 222 Records, and his first signee is
Glee star Matthew Morrison. "Starting my own label has been a long-time goal of mine and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening," Levine said. "I am excited for everyone to hear Matthew's forthcoming album. Great things are in store for him with this release." Expect Mr. Schue's sophomore LP sometime this spring. [Via

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is the pop star du jour to drop by Terry Richardson’s studio. Unlike the photog’s latest shoot with Lady Gaga, the Voice coach remained fully clothed (a pity, that). The dapper singer kept things casual in a t-shirt and jeans and didn’t seem to mind all that much when Terry socked him one right in the kisser (for the sake of art, of course). Check out the Grammy nominee’s shoot, but be warned there is one pic where Adam holds up M.I.A.’s favorite finger. Then tell us below, or on Facebook and Twitter, what you thought of the “Moves Like Jagger” singer’s shots. More »

After
posting gangbusters ratings following the
Super Bowl last night,
The Voice returned for part two of the blind auditions. The show kicked off with the judges taking on a few of Prince's greatest hits in a pyrotechnic crowd-pleaser. Christina Aguilera, sporting a leather sort of Statue of Liberty crown, led on "Party Like it's 1999"; Cee Lo Green drove through "Little Red Corvette" in red sequined footie pajamas — appropriately; Adam Levine put his falsetto to good use on "I Wanna Be Your Lover"; and Blake Shelton wrapped country twang around "Kiss" for the finale. Then, it was on to the contestants!

As everyone knows, the post-Super Bowl slot is a coveted spot for any show, and this year NBC gave the honors to
The Voice, hoping to hook new fans as the
fab foursome of judges takes a break from
playing Guesstures to usher in Season 2. As anyone who caught the inaugural outing knows, Javier Colon (of Team Levine)
emerged victorious, closely followed by Dia Frampton. What's in store for Season 2? Well, for starters, an
all-star roster of mentors including Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke, and Alanis Morrisette, and Adam gloating about last season's win about 400 times per episode. But as the title of the show implies, it's the pipes of the contestants that
really matter. So how'd this season's lineup of talent do? See how the premiere went down below.

Ellen DeGeneres flipped the concept of
The Voice right on its head this afternoon when she made the coaches (minus Cee Lo Green) stay silent and only use gestures to communicate music-themed words and phrases. When choosing our favorite moment from the game, we can't decide between Christina Aguilera thrashing her head for "Heavy Metal" or Adam Levine pointing to himself for the word "Diva" — with Blake Shelton guessing correctly! Watch all the fun below.

Wiz Khalifa is readying his sophomore album
O.N.I.F.C (any guesses, folks? We're stumped) and last night he hit the studio with Chris Brown and Maroon 5's Adam Levine. We can assume that
The Voice coach will be laying his vocals down for a hook, which is a wise move — his contribution to
Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts" helped it become a Top 10 hit — while Breezy will no doubt be rapping once again. (Yay?) So what's Wiz's new album going to be about anyway?

Is Obama a huge Maroon 5,
Glee, and Black Eyed Peas fan? Maybe, maybe not — but he does want their endorsement on his 2012 re-election. The Commander-in-Chief already has stars like
Lady Gaga on his team, but that didn't stop him from releasing a "wish list" of celebrities he'd like on board as he bids for a second term. Amongst names we might easily expect to find here, such as B.o.B., Jay-Z, and Alicia Keys, there are such diverse acts as Arcade Fire, Lady Antebellum, the Jonas Brothers, Janelle Monae, Ricky Martin, Regina Spektor, and Vampire Weekend.
(Kelly Clarkson was apparently already spoken for.) Check out the full list of names below.
