B.o.B And Other Artists Rally To Stop SOPA And PIPA

Wed Jan 18 2012 by Becky Bain
If you tried to visit a number of websites today and were unable to view their content, don't be alarmed: it's due to the protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect IP Act (PIPA) bills, which were created to stop online piracy and protect copyright owners, but could allow the government to censor practically anything on the Internet. You'd think musicians would be all for protecting their music from piracy, but artists, such as B.o.B, Kreashawyn, OK Go and more, have made it clear that this bill, if passed, will do more harm than good. B.o.B Bonds With Strippers In His “How Bout Dat” Video

Tue Jan 17 2012 by Robbie Daw
"Why you all in my face, you ain't even in my circle, dawg, you ain't even in my loop," B.o.B brags in his E.P.I.C. mixtape track "How Bout Dat", which features Future and Trae Da Truth. You know who is in the "Strange Clouds" hit-maker's circle? A pack of strippers, that's who. The ATL MC lays with, throws cash at and dances with these fine young ladies in the club in his video for the track. (Guess he upgraded from the swimming pool, which probably started to make him wrinkle like a prune?) Watch B.o.B's latest masterpiece below, music lovers! More »

Obama Would Like Fergie, Adam Levine & Lea Michele’s Endoresement

Mon Jan 16 2012 by Idolator Staff
Is Obama a huge Maroon 5, Glee, and Black Eyed Peas fan? Maybe, maybe not — but he does want their endorsement on his 2012 re-election. The Commander-in-Chief already has stars like Lady Gaga on his team, but that didn't stop him from releasing a "wish list" of celebrities he'd like on board as he bids for a second term. Amongst names we might easily expect to find here, such as B.o.B., Jay-Z, and Alicia Keys, there are such diverse acts as Arcade Fire, Lady Antebellum, the Jonas Brothers, Janelle Monae, Ricky Martin, Regina Spektor, and Vampire Weekend. (Kelly Clarkson was apparently already spoken for.) Check out the full list of names below. More »

Tue Dec 27 2011 by Robbie Daw
Following "Strange Clouds", another single has blown in from B.o.B's upcoming sophomore LP. This time it's the rap/reggae/rock hybrid "Play The Guitar", which features Andre 3000. Sure, the Outkast MC may have been booted from Beyonce's "Party" when it came time to shoot the song's video, but he's having a full-on renaissance thanks to a feature on Ke$ha's "Sleazy 2.0" remix and a lengthy verse on this song, "Play The Guitar". Get your licks in below. More »

Six number one singles or bust! Katy Perry Wants A Sixth #1 Single And Will Release Another Remix To Get It

Thu Dec 15 2011 by Becky Bain
Katy Perry is going to own the record for having the most #1 singles from one album whether you like it or not. Billboard reports that Katy will drop a remix of "The One That Got Away" featuring a verse by B.o.B. The song, which is scheduled to drop sometime next week, is currently #4 on the Hot 100 — is there any way this song will not top the charts? (Her previous two singles, "E.T." and "Last Friday Night (TGIF)", remember, went to #1 only after their respective remixes were released.) And more importantly, is Katy okay with people feeling like she's cheating in order to achieve this honor? In fact, is this cheating, or just a smart business move?

B.o.B And Lil Wayne Go Green In “Strange Clouds” Video

Mon Dec 5 2011 by Robbie Daw
In the not-so-subtle video for B.o.B's Dr. Luke-produced single "Strange Clouds", the ATL rapper walks through a field as mysterious green lights flash across the sky. Eventually Lil Wayne joins up with him, and the two deliver their rhymes while preparing for a close encounter of the chronic kind. T.I. makes a few appearances throughout. But having little kids in the video is an extra-classy touch. Watch below. More »

B.o.B And T.I. To Collaborate On Album ‘The Man & The Martian’

Thu Dec 1 2011 by Becky Bain
Eminem and Royce have done it. Kanye and Jay-Z, too. Now B.o.B and T.I. are jumping on the bandwagon and working on a collaborative album. As confirmed by Bobby Ray on Hot 97's Angie Martinez Show, the duo's LP will be titled The Man & The Martian. "It's just something to have fun with," he adds. Apparently the two MCs don't mind keeping themselves busy with projects, as B.o.B has just put the finishing touches on his sophomore album, Strange Clouds, and T.I. is prepping his new release, Trouble Man. Now what should their duo name be? B.T.O.I.B.?

Hanson To Launch Their Own Brand Of Beer: Morning Mix

Thu Dec 1 2011 by Becky Bain
Did You Hear?

:: Hanson will release their own beer, to be called MmmHop. The alcoholic beverage will be an Indian pale ale, and will be available sometime next year. Now we know what we'll be imbibing during every repeat listen to Middle Of Nowhere. [PopDust]

:: Ke$ha promotes the animal inside and outside in a PSA for the Humane Society. We appreciate you working on behalf of stray dogs, K-Dolla, but could you have read the copy a little less like you just woke up from a nap and was called on to read aloud in class? [Jezebel]

:: B.o.B has a new mixtape. Download Epic (aka Every Play Is Crucial) for free and rock out to Bobby Ray's newest tunes. [Music & Lyrics]

:: Remember MTV's 2gether? Of course you do! ("U + Me = Us" is definitely on a mixtape somewhere.) It looks like the four surviving members of the band may be back again and a "mockumentary about the band's reunion" is in the works. [MTV Buzzworthy]

:: Watch the first episode of VH1's T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle. [Rap-Up]
