Patrick Stump’s debut solo album Soul Punk drops today, and its fusion of pop, R&B, soul, and dance is a far cry from anything he released during his ten years in Fall Out Boy. It will be interesting to see how FOB followers react to the singer’s new experimental sound, but going solo is never without its risks. Stump isn’t the first artist to either permanently or temporarily step away from the group that made them famous in order to pursue their own project. Jennifer Lopez Not Sure If She’s Returning To ‘Idol’ — So Who Should Replace Her?

Jennifer Lopez has endeared herself to the public like no one could have predicted during her year as judge on American Idol - but one year with La Lopez is all we may end up getting. The "On The Floor" singer has said she doesn't know if she'll return for Season 11, adding, "I haven't been forced to make a decision and I'm glad about that because honestly I'm very on the fence about it."

What in the world is going on with Cheryl Cole and the ever-evolving X Factor drama? First she was rumored to have been given the boot from Fox's upcoming American version of the TV singing competition. Then news came that negotiations were underway to retain her in some fashion. But late this morning came what appeared to be the final word: Fox and X Factor producer Fremantle released an official statement confirming that Nicole Scherzinger will indeed be replacing Cheryl Cole as a judge on the US version of The X Factor. Kelly Rowland Heading To UK, Joining Gary Barlow As New ‘X Factor’ Judge

For whatever reason, British pop star Cheryl Cole was axed from the upcoming American version of Simon Cowell's TV singing competition The X Factor. Both Cole and Cowell had been judges on the original UK edition, along with Dannii Minogue and Westlife manager Louis Walsh. But it looks like Cheryl won't be taking back her original position on the show overseas, as Kelly Rowland, Take That frontman Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos of N-Dubz have been announced as the replacement judges on the British series.
