Coldplay Dazzle In Cologne (PHOTOS)

Fri Dec 16 2011 by Erika Brooks Adickman

Coldplay put on a breathtaking show last night, as the band brought their Mylo Xoloto tour to Cologne, Germany. (BRIT Awards’ Critics Choice recipient Emeli Sande opened the night with a “Heaven“-ly performance.) The group certainly lived up to their Billboard Reader’s Poll title of Best Festival Performers: The stage was decked out in giant balloons, laser lights and massive amounts of confetti that rained onto the Köln Lanxess-Arena stage during “In My Place”. The encore included “Clocks”, a cover of Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” (it is the holidays after all) and, for the grand finale, “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall“. Is this a taste of what we can expect from their 2012 North American tour? More »

Natalie Imbruglia Puts On Some Gloss

Wed Aug 12 2009 by Maura

It’s been 12 years since Natalie Imbruglia made the transition from Australian soap star to pop star with the hot-AC staple “Torn,” and her fourth studio album Come To Life is scheduled to come out in October. “Want,” the first single from the album, is a dreamy, sheeny dancepop tune that’s pretty irresistible, even though it owes an obvious debt to her fellow Aussie Kylie Minogue. (Although it’s apparently a co-write with none other than Coldplay frontman Chris Martin?! Oh man, could you imagine if this is a hint at Coldplay releases to come?) A radio rip of the track is after the jump. More »
