The unsuspecting Demi faithful were on line for her concert at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, when the 2012 People's Choice Awards performer rolled up in an eighteen-wheeler to show off the Unbroken track. Sporting a Debbie Gibson-esque bowler hat over her luxurious red locks and equally bold crimson lips, Demi gave the shrieking crowd an upbeat teaser taste of that night's show. Geez, Katy Perry — of all the awards shows to pull out of, the 38th annual People's Choice Awards should probably not have been at the top of your list. The no-show California girl, who is going through a divorce from soon-to-be-ex Russell Brand, swept the music categories, including Favorite Female, Favorite Song, Favorite Tour Headliner and Favorite Music Video. She also nabbed a television win for Favorite TV Guest Star, for her stint on How I Met Your Mother.

Thanks to all who came out. And special thanks to @seventeenmag for having me on their cover!!!!,” the pop star excitedly tweeted following her in-store fiesta. For the occasion, the Unbroken songbird sported a similar boho ensemble as seen in her spread for the mag’s February issue: a flowy white lace dress paired with a black jacket. The 19-year-old opened up to the magazine about her troubled past, admitting, “I was self-medicating. I was doing things like drinking and using [drugs], like a lot of teens do to numb their pain.” Now sober and healthy, she discusses loving her curves, and having a lifelong friendship with Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez.
