"I’m gonna just wrap it up for a minute because I’ve been working on music for 27 years now and the longest I’ve ever been out of the studio in 27 years has been two weeks," Dre told FADER TV outside the launch of his Beats By Dre store in SoHo. Dr. Dre, Diddy, And Drake Do The 2011 ASCAP Awards
Sat Jun 25 2011 by Idolator Staff
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers honored extraordinary lover Diddy with their Founding Fathers award, and on hand to introduce the Dirty Money-less "Looking For Love" rapper was last year's recipient, the one and only Chrysler-shilling Dr. Dre. In other news, Drake nixed the teleprompter in favor of speaking "from the heart" in his kudos to Boi-1da and Noah "40" Shebib as Songwriters of the Year. Catch both speeches below.
