Sophia Grace And Her Hype Girl Show Off Their Swag On ‘Ellen’

Fri Feb 10 2012 by Becky Bain
Ellen DeGeneres' unofficial mascots Sophia Grace and her "hype girl" Rosie return to her daytime talk show once more. The darling British tots — in their usual princess garb, 'natch — perform Keri Hilson's "Turn My Swag On" (a much better choice than Keri's racy "The Way You Love Me", might we add). Sophia, of course, can't be stopped, and offers an original rap midway through the number. I think we just found Nicki Minaj's protege. Watch below! More »

Miley Cyrus Performs “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” On ‘Ellen’

Mon Feb 6 2012 by Robbie Daw
Dolled up like a carefree '70s singer (not unlike Taylor Swift in the current issue of Vogue), Miley Cyrus took to the Ellen DeGeneres Show's stage for a performance of Bob Dylan's "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go". The LOL star was accompanied by one acoustic guitar, which made her vocals the focal point — and she pulled off a mesmerizing performance pretty easily. More »

Watch ‘The Voice’ Coaches Play Guesstures On ‘Ellen’

Fri Feb 3 2012 by Becky Bain
Ellen DeGeneres flipped the concept of The Voice right on its head this afternoon when she made the coaches (minus Cee Lo Green) stay silent and only use gestures to communicate music-themed words and phrases. When choosing our favorite moment from the game, we can't decide between Christina Aguilera thrashing her head for "Heavy Metal" or Adam Levine pointing to himself for the word "Diva" — with Blake Shelton guessing correctly! Watch all the fun below. More »

Flo Rida Has A “Good Feeling” On ‘Ellen’

Wed Feb 1 2012 by Becky Bain
The club can't handle Flo Rida, but Ellen DeGeneres' soundstage certainly can. The rapper stopped by the morning show to perform his Top 10 hit  "Good Feeling", which takes its hook from Avicii's "Levels", which in turn samples the late Etta James' 1962 song "Something's Got a Hold On Me". "I’m deeply saddened by the passing of the Great Etta James and I will be forever grateful for the gift she blessed me with," tweeted the rapper after hearing of James' death. Celebrate Etta's iconic voice and Flo's flow in the performance below. More »

Adam Lambert Performs “Better Than I Know Myself” On ‘Ellen’

Thu Jan 19 2012 by Robbie Daw
What — Adam Lambert's stellar performance of “Better Than I Know Myself” on the Tonight Show didn't give you enough of a fix? Luckily, you can now satiate your need for the Glam One by taking in his gig on Ellen today. If we have one complaint, it's that the guy needs to stop sounding so pitch-perfect. We need something to gripe about now and then, Adam! Catch his performance, plus his chat with DeGeneres about his highly-publicized spat with partner Sauli Koskinen in Finland last month, below. The Wanted Make Their US Debut On ‘Ellen’ With “Glad You Came”

Tue Jan 10 2012 by Robbie Daw
The Wanted kick off their inaugural US tour next week, but ahead of that the UK quintet hit up The Ellen DeGeneres Show for a performance of their single "Glad You Came". The guys did their part to make an impression by walking into the audience and hugging, kissing and serenading various willing females. But they saved the best for last by changing up the chorus and singing "we're glad we came" directly to DeGeneres. More »

The Wanted To Make US Debut On ‘Ellen’ Tomorrow Ahead Of Tour

Mon Jan 9 2012 by Robbie Daw
Can The Wanted, a quintet consisting of British and Irish members, succeed where bands such as Take That, Boyzone, Westlife and JLS have not in the past — by cracking the American market? They will if Ellen DeGeneres has anything to say about it. UK duo La Roux famously saw their single "Bulletproof" rise in airplay — and subsequently won a Grammy — after a performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show two years ago. The Wanted are hoping to mimic that success with their own tune "Glad You Came" once their Ellen performance airs tomorrow. More »

Justin Bieber Performs For The Kids Of Whitney Elementary

Wed Jan 4 2012 by Robbie Daw
Justin Bieber had to settle for having the second biggest Christmas album of last year (thanks to that other crooning Canadian, Michael Buble), but that didn't stop him from spreading the holiday cheer amongst the underprivileged kids of Whitney Elementary in Las Vegas. The Bieb teamed up with Ellen DeGeneres, who aired the below segment of the 17-year-old singer at the school on her show today. More »

Lady Gaga Is An Angsty Ballerina While Performing “Marry The Night” On ‘Ellen’

Fri Dec 9 2011 by Becky Bain
It's well-known that ballet dancers have to suffer physically for their craft, but if a ballerina had to prance around in Lady Gaga's ballet slippers, they wouldn't be able to survive one full routine. Gaga performed her single "Marry The Night" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show wearing the most ungodly dangerous ballet slippers ever created, and even she can't seem to stand in them for long, as she takes them off halfway through the song. Watch what Gaga calls her "favorite performance ever" below. More »

Lady Gaga has showered affection on her upcoming "Marry The Night" performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, but she does adore something other than The Night - namely, fellow New York native Woody Allen. Upon discussing her acting aspirations with Ellen, Gaga reveals, "My dream would be to be in a Woody Allen movie." Hey, he makes about one movie a year and has worked with most of Hollywood already, we'd say her chances are pretty good! Preview Mama Monster's interview below. More »
