It’s been four years since Justin Timberlake released an album of his own, but in that time the go-to guest vocalist has brought his own brand of sexy to hit singles by the likes of Timbaland, Madonna, T.I. and Ciara. The latest JT collabo is “Love Dealer,” the new single by his 21-year-old Dutch protege Esmée Denters. In the video, Justin mixes some beats on a rooftop while Denters slinks around the streets and fire escapes of the city. Watch below!

Esmée Denters released the cover art and music video for her second single “Admit It,” and while it’s no “Outta Here,” the track still has a good beat for all your workout needs. In the vid, Es dances around with her two gals pals on either side of her—unfortunately, in a much more generic fashion than “Single Ladies”—while a semi-cute dude desperately searches around an empty house for her. Deep. (Sorry, it’s been difficult to judge regular, generic pop music videos fairly since so many recent ones have managed to scare the crap out of me.) Two years ago, the Dutch singer Esmée Denters was a YouTube phenomenon who got snapped up by Justin Timberlake’s label, thanks presumably to her covering “What Goes Around… Comes Around” in full-on Webcam confessional mode. Well, since then Timberlake’s been trying to get her name out there, first putting her singing up for charity, then taking her around the country on showcases where she flaunts her new single “Outta Here.” I actually became acquainted with this song at the gym, where it was one of the many semi-anonymous dance tracks blaring on the TVs that weren’t tuned to (sigh) the YES Network, mixed in with endless plays of all those failed Pussycat Dolls singles and “Single Ladies.” “Outta Here” is not groundbreaking by any stretch—it’s pretty much perfectly paired to being played while people sweat out calories and hangovers—but it’s pretty punchy, and her growly tendencies make the track even better. I should also note that Denters’ track isn’t the only one that I heard at the gym, and later found out about via some endorphin-inspired digging. The David Guetta / Kelly Rowland track “When Love Takes Over”—which is doing bonkers business in Europe, and which casual listeners here int he States may know as “the dance song with a Coldplay-ish piano part and a Whitney-sounding belter”—is also in heavy rotation during my workouts, and it’s pretty enjoyable. (Someone should really mash it up with “Clocks,” tho.) “Outta Here” has yet to make the Billboard Hot 100, and “Takes Over” peaked in its lower reaches about a month ago.
